This assortment was inspired by the Arts & Crafts movement, which began in Philadelphia the late 19th century as a reaction to the mass-produced goods of the Industrial Revolution. Local artisans and craftsmen formed organizations to promote handmade, high-quality goods, and to educate the public about the importance of traditional craftsmanship.

Wabi sabi is a Japanese aesthetic concept that values the beauty of imperfection, impermanence, and simplicity. It emphasizes the uniqueness and authenticity of each object, rather than aiming for perfection. In terms of chocolate assortments, we nestle our chocolate next to each other, rather than using plastic dividers. This aligns with the wabi sabi philosophy of embracing the natural imperfections of each piece of chocolate, made by hand. Additionally, it aligns with the environmental consciousness of reducing the use of plastic, and allows for more chocolates to be included in the box without the added bulk of plastic dividers.
