Description
The cacao beans used to make this bar were sourced from Tumaco, Columbia, a coastal region with a humid tropical climate well suited to cacao agriculture. Cacao farmers in Tumaco graft local cacao varietals onto hybrid rootstock to grow this truly unique bean. We find the flavor profile to be exceptionally floral with a deep chocolate backdrop and hints of toasted almond, black tea, and cream. This bold and intense chocolate bar allows the pure cocoa’s complex flavor to shine.
The shape and form of our chocolate bars are based on 18th century etchings of chocolate bars produced in Philadelphia right here on our very own block.

I’m no stranger to fine dark chocolate, having tried many dozen award winning chocolate bars of various origins. I was completely caught of guard when I tasted this bar, it was such a pleasant surprise. I loved it. I never tasted so much inherent sweetness in such a dark chocolate. The flavor profile was completely unique to anything I’ve previously experienced. I would happily eat this as my daily chocolate. The buzz was smooth, clean, and long lasting. Seriously, what a great chocolate, I must have more!
